2025 was an eventful year. And I’ve gotten better at picture management so this year we’ve got a few more pictures.
If you are here because you got our Christmas card, we made a mistake on the card (at least, one we noticed). If you spot it, you should let us know. If you’re the first (or one of the first) we will get you a prize. The prize will depend on your location and what we think you might appreciate.
Merry Christmas!

(Feb 23, 2025) Brennan got so comfortable on the chair lift that he went up by himself. (Feb 28, 2025) Brennan played Minneapolis Parks Basketball. (Feb 1, 2025) Both kids did more judo but also decided they were done with it. (Mar 5, 2025) Spice is still with us, even though we do not see him much. His team was the Saints. (Nov 1, 2025) Lots of snow this year when we bought the Christmas tree. (Nov 29, 2025) <- previous

(Mar 22, 2025) Going through the locks of the Panama Canal at night in the rain (Mar 22, 2025) There were a lot of really big ships we went by on Gatun Lake. (Mar 23, 2025) Everyone on deck to see the locks in action. (Mar 22, 2025) <- previous

(Mar 31, 2025) Lots of great sculpture and art around Princeton, including this great sculpture garden called "Grounds for Art". next -> Iceland X We had great weather while we were in Iceland. We saw the sun just about every day. (Aug 25, 2025) Yes, Iceland does have ice. All year round. (Aug 29, 2025) Skogafoss was another beautiful waterfall. (Aug 27, 2025) The Icelandic horses were fun to ride and the folks who took us riding were really nice. (Aug 29, 2025) Overlooking the valley at Thingvellier National Park. (Aug 25, 2025) Gullfoss was probably the most impressive waterfall we saw in Iceland, but that kind of depends on what you mean by "impressive". Gullfoss had the most water going over it. (Aug 26, 2025) Muninn the horse, that Imogene got to ride. (Aug 29, 2025) The "Hot River" was more of a stream. But it had been shaped into these little pools you could lay down in by these little rock dams. If you were not in the water though, it was cold. (Aug 26, 2025) The hike to and from the hot river was beautiful and kind of a stretch for the kids. But once they decided to run more around and do more climbing, they complained a lot less. (Aug 26, 2025) This waterfall impressed us. We soon learned just how impressive waterfalls in Iceland get. (Aug 25, 2025) It would have been fun to spend more time in Reykjavik but you can't have it all. What we did see of it was quite nice. (Aug 30, 2025) The Lava Show in Vik was a lot better than we thought it would be. You get to be a lot closer to the lava than you'd think, and it is hot. (Aug 28, 2025) Brennan with the horse he got to ride (Aug 29, 2025) The hike to the "hot river" was very beautiful and very uphill. But coming back it was mostly downhill. (Aug 26, 2025) You could hike around behind Skogafoss, if you had the gear to get wet. (Aug 27, 2025) The Black Sand beaches and cliffs around them were beautiful. Just, you know, when the signs say not to play in the waves, maybe do not play in the waves. (Aug 27, 2025) Lots of sheep in Iceland. They are shy, but they will "pose" for a picture as long as they think you might cause trouble. (Aug 29, 2025) A divergent tectonic boundary you can just walk up and take a picture of. (Aug 25, 2025) Our hotel near Selfoss had a hot tub and a beautiful vista. (Aug 25, 2025) <- previous

(Jul 16, 2025) The blueberries were bountiful (Jul 17, 2025) We went to du Nord with some friends, and there were also some other good friends who just happened to be there the same week. It was great to get to see them again. (Jul 18, 2025) <- previous
